BRIDGEPORT - The fate of a Bridgeport elementary school principal accused of man-handling a student is still up in the air after a special board meeting Wednesday evening.

As News 12 Connecticut previously reported, officials say Carmen Perez-Dickson was allegedly caught on camera dragging a kindergartener down a hallway.

The superintendent recommended Perez-Dickson be fired.

Perez-Dickson's lawyer says her actions were appropriate for the situation.

Another hearing is scheduled for Sept. 27.
