STAMFORD - A federal judge has denied a motion to dismiss Michael Skakel's slander suit against television host Nancy Grace.

Skakel, the nephew of Robert F. Kennedy's widow Ethel Kennedy, was released on bond in November after a judge granted him a new trial in the 1975 murder of his Greenwich neighbor, Martha Moxley. Skakel and Moxley were both 15 years old at the time.

Skakel sued Grace and three other defendants in 2012 over an interview in which they made claims that Skakel left DNA evidence at the crime scene. His attorney says Grace's comments were false and damaging.
