FAIRFIELD - Federal money will be coming to the Penfield Pavilion repair project at Fairfield beach.

The pavilion was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Sen. Chris Murphy say they worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to secure the more than $3 million grant.

Fairfield First Sel. Mike Tetreau says it will help relieve a big burden on taxpayers.
