BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport resident has filed a complaint with police, accusing two City Council members of attacking him during Monday night?s meeting.

Community activist Cecil Young claims it stemmed from comments he made about sewage issues during a public comment session.

Young claims Councilwoman Evette Brantley hit him in the nose and then Councilman Angel de Para tackled him.

A video of the alleged incident has been released to the public.

Residents reacting to the video say they are upset by the way the meeting and altercation was handled.

Mayor Finch released a statement today saying he was not in the room at the time of the incident and he's very unhappy with what transpired.
