Finch declares victory in Bridgeport Democratic mayoral primary

BRIDGEPORT - Incumbent Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch has declared victory in the Democratic mayoral primary.

His challenger, Mary-Jane Foster, has already conceded the election to Finch.

Finch says his vision of new schools, revitalization and improving economic growth is what contributed to his victory."The people said, this positive vision is the way Bridgeport should go," says Finch.

Finch will now face Republican Rick Torres in the general election on Nov. 8.
