REDDING - A blaze damaged the Redding Ridge Market early Saturday morning, fire officials say.

According to firefighters, a witness called emergency officials after noticing the market was on fire around 5 a.m. The witness says he was on his way inside to purchase a newspaper when he saw the flames.

Fire officials say it is unclear if there were any injuries as a result of the fire. They are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

In an amateur video sent to News 12 Connecticut, smoke is seen seeping out of the roof of the building.
