BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport firefighter is recovering after she was injured battling a blaze.Officials say the fire broke out Monday night at 377 Grand Street. According to officials, they found heavy flames on the third floor but couldn't get in because of the heat.Fire officials say they were forced to cut a hole in the roof to ventilate the apartment. No one was found inside the building.Officials say the firefighter suffered burns to her hand and is expected to be OK.The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
