Firefighters battle flames in Stamford, save business

STAMFORD - Firefighters responded to a fire at 100 Research Drive in Stamford at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, fighting the flames before they could spread to another business.

Firefighters say they were able to quickly contain the fire, which they believe started in the back room of the business, before it could spread to a restaurant on the second floor. Police blocked off the corner of Glenbrook Road and Research Drive as firefighters battled the flames.

The fire marshal was called in to investigate the area.
