BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport fire officials say they are investigating the cause of a fire in the city that rekindled this morning. 

Bridgeport firefighters were called to a home on Merchant Street last night after reports of a fire.

One of the men who lives at the house captured the fire on his cellphone after he escaped.

The people who living at the home say last night, the fire started on the back porch and quickly spread.

They say two families lived in the home. While the damage was extensive, no one was hurt.

This morning, firefighters were called back to put the flames out after the fire sparked again.

The families are now cleaning out anything they can salvage from the fire.
