WESTPORT - Firefighters in Westport spent Sunday preparing for another heavy rainstorm expected to hit the area Monday.

Fire officials say they double-checked all the tools that proved critical during the nor'easter that slammed the region two weeks ago. Firefighters say they made sure all generators had fuel and all life-rescue equipment is in order.

Authorities also used an electronic tide monitor to watch for early signs of coastal flooding.

Residents say they have barely recovered from the last bout of flooding and hope the storm doesn't bring more.
