Amity - (Orange/Woodbridge) - First day 9/6

Bridgeport - All public schools, with the exception of Hall, Multicultural, High Horizons and Discovery Magnet due to the continued power outage, will be open 8/31.

Darien - The final decision concerning opening school on Thursday will be made tomorrow, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

Easton/Redding - Teachers report on Friday, students on Tuesday 9/6

Fairfield - First day 9/6

Greenwich - As of Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., all schools are open. Staff and student activities are running as scheduled. Please continue to check the web site and other means of communication for up to date information. As the status of safe routes to schools becomes available, we will be making decisions about schools opening tomorrow.

Milford - No school on Wednesday, August 31st. Will inform you when the first day of school will be as soon as we know definitively.

New Canaan - The final decision concerning opening school on Thursday will be made tomorrow, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m

Norwalk - The first day of school for students will not be on August 31, 2011 as originally scheduled. A decision about the opening of school for students will be made based on the districts' readiness and safety conditions.

Stamford - First day 9/6

Stratford - Schools will open on Tuesday, September 6th for all students except kindergarten. Tuesday, September 6th will be orientation for kindergarten students and the first day of school for kindergarteners will be Wednesday, September 7th.

Weston - As of this morning, the entire school campus has been restored with power and all facilities are fully operational. There was no significant damage to any facility during the storm, and any minor issues resulting from the storm have already been addressed. The district will continue to monitor road conditions in town and the degree of power outages throughout the community in assessing the start date for schools.

Westport - Westport Fire Chief Andrew Kingsbury, the town's Emergency Management Director, today ordered that Westport schools remain closed on Wednesday for safety reasons. As to Thursday, we will continue to evaluate conditions

Wilton - School starts 9/6
