BRIDGEPORT - Construction workers in Bridgeport are putting the finishing touches on a new cancer center at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

It includes some state-of-the-art treatment options, including a $4 million system to target cancerous tumors with high-dose radiation.

Hospital officials also say the new wing should be more comfortable for cancer patients as they sought input from people undergoing treatment during the center's design phase.

The new facility is scheduled to open to patients on Feb. 2.
