NORWALK - A flotilla gathered at the Norwalk Cove Marina yesterday in support of Peter Willcox's safe return from Russia after being sentenced to prison there.

Willcox and 30 other Greenpeace activists were arrested last month for protesting near a Russian oil rig in the Arctic. The charges against the group have been reduced, but they are still facing jail time.

Willcox was a sailing instructor with the Sound Sailing Center in Norwalk. The center's owner says his imprisonment is an outrage.

The flotilla's journey concludes today on the East River, blocks away from the U.N. headquarters. Organizers say they hope diplomats there hear their plea and take action.
