NORWALK - New parking rules are cracking down on food trucks taking up metered parking spaces in South Norwalk, forcing some vendors to fight back for their businesses.

Frank Giannattasio says he and his wife typically park their truck on Washington Avenue and Main Street where they sell sandwiches to the late-night bar crowds. He says the new rule is now putting them out of business.

According to the city, the spots should be reserved for customers, even after normal business hours. Mayor Dick Moccia says he's offered the Giannattasios a parking space a few blocks away, but they say it's simply too far.
