BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport's Board of Education has picked an interim superintendent.
The board offered the post to Hamden Superintendent Frances Rabinowitz.
The board says Rabinowitz has more than 30 years experience in public education.

It says she will not be eligible to fill the job permanently.
Current Bridgeport Superintendent Paul Vallas is leaving March 1 to run for lieutenant governor in Illinois.
