Frank Gonsalves charged in Bridgeport home invasion that resulted in the injury of 33-year-old Geraldo Costa

Detectives say a group of people entered a home in Bridgeport and shot Geraldo Costa, 33. (1/29/14)

BRIDGEPORT - A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a Bridgeport home invasion that resulted in a man being shot in the head.

Frank Gonsalves, 25, was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery for his alleged role in the incident earlier this month. 

Detectives say a group of people entered a home on Pond Street and shot 33-year-old Geraldo Costa in the head.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Leah McNellis last week and charged her with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Neither suspect face charges directly related to the shooting at this point. Authorities say they expect to make more arrests. 

Costa remains in critical condition at St Vincent's Medical Center.
