The wintry weather caused several accidents, including several on Route 7 in Wilton. Police also briefly shut down School Road in the area.

DPW crews spent much of the day salting roads. Drivers were urged to stay home if possible, and to use extreme caution if they needed to be out.

After slightly warmer temps on Sunday and Monday, there's expected to be another frosty blast on Tuesday, when highs will only reach about 15 degrees.
