MILFORD - Friends are planning a memorial to a 20-year-old Milford woman killed in a car crash on I-91 in North Haven.

Beata Kaletka, the manager at Ambrosia Bakery in Milford, worked with Morissa Barrette for three years and has set up a zebra-print box on the counter inside the bakery to collect money for a memorial.

Kaletka wants to put a bench at Walnut Beach in Barrette's memory since she used to go to the beach often. Kaletka says the bench would cost about $1,500, and that customers have been supportive so far.

Kaletka says she wants to include Barrett's picture on the bench to make sure she is not forgotten. The manager says she will be making more zebra-print boxes and setting them up at other businesses in the city.
