Friends remember New Canaan man killed in Colo. rockslide

NEW CANAAN - Friends of a 24-year-old New Canaan man are in mourning after learning he was killed in a Colorado rockslide this weekend. Authorities say Rob Jansen died from his injuries after the slide Saturday near Hagerman Peak, located about 11 miles from Aspen. Neighbors say Jansen has not lived in New Canaan for some time, but old friends have set up a Facebook page in his memory. Jansen graduated from New Canaan High School in 2007. News 12 Connecticut reached out to Jansen's family, but they were not available for comment.
