Fundraiser held for victims of convent robbery

STRATFORD - The Stratford community came together Thursday evening to help a Bridgeport nun who has spent decades helping others.

As News 12 reported, someone broke in and robbed the Daughters of Charity of the Most Precious Blood Convent of baby diapers and formula earlier this year.

Sister Teresa Tremblay’s laptop computer was also taken during the incident.

Tremblay was presented with a check for $30,000 at the fundraising event. The money will go toward replacing the goods that were taken.
