NORWALK - A non-profit group in Norwalk is gearing up for its annual fundraiser which helps make horseback riding a reality for those who otherwise would not get a chance to do it.

Kathi Meenan runs the organization called Wishes for Horses out of a barn on Richards Avenue.

It gives kids who can't afford to ride, a chance to learn how to care for and ride horses.

Meenan says horseback riding helps with their self esteem, sense of responsibility and respect.
