EASTON - Firefighters, friends and family paid tribute today to a fallen hero who died during Hurricane Sandy. Lt. Russell Neary, 53, was killed in the line of duty Monday when he was struck by a falling tree. The 13-year veteran of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department is the first firefighter to be killed in the line of duty in the department's history. Gov. Dannel Malloy and Sen.
