STAMFORD - The Stamford woman who was shot and killed by police after a car chase in Washington, D.C. was laid to rest this morning.
A funeral for 34-year-old Miriam Carey was held in Brooklyn.
Funeral attendees said they didn't want to focus on the negative aspects of the investigation, but instead wanted to concentrate on what Carey meant to them and the person she was.
Between 30 and 40 attendees packed a chapel in Brooklyn to say their goodbyes.
Carey rammed her car into a barrier outside the White House and hit two police officers earlier this month.
Her 1-year-old daughter was in the car at the time, but was not hurt.
