NORWALK - Students and staff at Marvin Elementary School in Norwalk will have the day off tomorrow so they can attend the funeral of a teacher who died suddenly. 

Kara Kovlakas passed away Thursday, the day before she would've turned 34.

Norwalk public schools says Kovlakas taught third grade at Marvin Elementary School for 11 years.

She left behind a husband and two young children.

Friends and loved ones say they are in shock. 

Kovlakas' funeral is set for tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at St. George's Church in Norwalk.
