Police say Sam Shekman fell from a cliff in the West Rock Woods Sunday evening.

WOODBRIDGE - A funeral was held today for the 20-year-old Woodbridge man killed in a hiking accident over the weekend.

Police say Sam Shekman fell from a cliff in the West Rock Woods Sunday evening.

The funeral took place at the East Side Cemetary in Woodbridge.

The family asks that instead of flowers, contributions be made to the rugby program at Shekman's alma mater, Eastern Connecticut State University.
