RIDGEFIELD - Generators are in high demand across southwestern Connecticut as many residents remain without power following Saturday's nor'easter.

A Ridgefield hardware store received an emergency shipment of 175 generators today and says it sold out in the first hour they went on sale.

No one knows when the power will come back, so many residents say that using a generator would be a brief respite from the power outage.
