FAIRFIELD - A man in Fairfield is facing charges after police say he became enraged with employees at a local McDonald's.
Police say Geoffrey Weglarz ordered a sandwich at the drive-thru of the McDonald's on Black Rock Turnpike, then returned to the restaurant screaming that the sandwich had not been made properly. He allegedly banged on the window and swore at the pregnant manager.
Weglarz then went into the restaurant and continued yelling, employees say. They say he threw the bag of food at the manager’s chest and drove home.

When police caught up with Weglarz at his home, they found he had a loaded Glock pistol in his waistband. It is unclear whether he was carrying the weapon during the incident. He did have a permit for the gun. Police seized guns and ammunition from his home and are looking for one other weapon.
Weglarz is due in court on April 9.
