STAMFORD - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney attended a fundraiser in Stamford this evening.

Those in attendance at the fundraiser paid $2,500 per person to hear the former Massachusetts governor speak about his hopes to preserve American freedoms.

While the mood inside the event may have been friendly, outside the doors, protesters gathered against Romney. Demonstrators said Romney?s core principle is to get elected and his beliefs would be a setback to the nation.
