HARTFORD - Gov. Dannel Malloy met privately with the new president of Metro-North Monday.

Joseph Giulietti replaced Howard Permut earlier this month.

The governor has been critical of the railroad in recent months.

The railroad has experienced mishaps recently, including power problems and a derailment in the Bronx that killed four passengers.

Malloy has called on the railroad to provide an action plan to address safety issues.
