HARTFORD - Gov. Dannel Malloy and state leaders gave an update today on how Connecticut is handling the winter storm.

Malloy said the state is used to handling the snow, but it is not as well-equipped to handle the frigid cold.

He advised motorists to be careful while travelling, and said any optional travel should be suspended as crews continue to take care of the roads.

Weather is expected to remain cold through the evening and into Saturday.
