MILFORD - Gov. Dannel Malloy spoke in Milford this morning about the state deficit and his plans to improve Connecticut's business climate.

He was at the Milford Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Schick Corporation headquarters.

Malloy says his plan is designed to get the state financially healthy and then refocus on attracting business back to the state.

He told us he gets a better idea about how the people of the state think the deficit should be taken care of at every public appearance he makes.

The governor said he's hoping the General Assembly will pass the compromised budget plan by next Tuesday so that he can begin seriously negotiating with the state unions.
