Gov. Malloy marks 100 days in office

STAMFORD - Today marked Gov. Dannel Malloy's (D-Conn.) 100th day in office.

Since he took the oath on Jan. 5, Malloy has worked to gain support for his budget plan.

The governor originally eliminated the $500 property tax credit, but today he announced he wants to restore it to a maximum of $300.

Malloy says the decision is a result of the 17 town hall meetings he held across the state over the past seven weeks.

Republican leaders criticized Malloy for just shifting the taxes around, instead of cutting more spending.
