NORWALK - Gov. Dannel Malloy will join Norwalk officials Monday for a community roundtable discussion on curbing gun violence in urban areas.

When the General Assembly passed a gun control bill in response to the Newtown tragedy, critics on both sides of the aisle warned it would do nothing to get illegal guns off city streets. Months later, that concern remains a topic of contention.

Attorney and Norwalk NAACP chapter president Darnell Crossland says he plans to talk about that at tomorrow morning's roundtable discussion.

Crossland says acts of gun violence happen far too often in the state's population centers.
