HARTFORD - A little bit of relief is coming at the gas pump for Connecticut residents.

Gov. Dannel Malloy today signed a bill to cap the state tax on the wholesale price of gas. The change will drop the average price for a gallon of regular by about 1-and-a-half cents.

Under the bill, the cap kicks in when wholesale gas prices hit $3 a gallon.
