HARTFORD - Gov. M. Jodi Rell (R-Conn.) says the timing is bittersweet as her final days as governor come to an end.
Rell is wrapping up 26 years in public service and says her time as governor and the people she met along the way have made her a better person.
Her tenure was marked by improvements in transportation, including the design of new rail cars for the New Haven line.
Rell says once she leaves office, she plans to do some traveling and spend a lot of time with her four young grandchildren.
