HARTFORD - A panel set up by Gov. Dannel Malloy to review the state's response to Tropical Storm Irene and the October nor'easter will hold its first meeting today.

Malloy is on record say he is been extremely disappointed with how state's two utilities handled the recent snow storm.

The governor is expected to address members of the committee this morning.

About 3,500 Connecticut Light & Power customers were withoutpower Wednesday morning, down from a peak of 830,000. CL& P haspromised to restore electricity to all 1.2 million customers byWednesday night.More than 500,000 remain without power in CT
