FAIRFIELD - Fairfield landlords say they have very little time to turn around the mess left behind from college students at their beachfront homes.

Many beachfront properties and nearby houses are rented by Fairfield University upperclassmen throughout the year.

Once graduation rolls around, landlords say they anticipate paint jobs and carpet cleanings and expect to find damaged furniture and broken glass.

The landlords say they don't have much time to fix the houses before the summer rental season begins, but those who spoke to News 12 say that they will continue renting to the students despite the fast turnaround.
