Grand opening held for industrial site rebuilt after fire

STAMFORD - ? A grand opening was held in Stamford today to mark the beginning of redevelopment for a former industrial site destroyed in a fire four years ago. The blaze destroyed the former Yale and Towne property in the south end of Stamford. The former industrial site has been refurbished and remodeled to house 225 condo-style units. So far, 72 of them are complete and more than 60 of them have been rented.

As a tribute to its history, the developer says all the locks in the Lofts at Yale and Towne are made by the Yale Lock Company.
