GREENWICH - A Greenwich-based foundation is marking World AIDS Day in town this week.

Members of the Red Ribbon Foundation and their Youth Council tied red ribbons around trees in downtown Greenwich Sunday afternoon as a way to raise AIDS awareness in the community.

Foundation Executive Director Nicole Hazard says the foundation is especially trying to reach young people with its message.

Red Ribbon Foundation members say they will be promoting AIDS awareness all week with programs at Greenwich High School and Westhill High School in Stamford.

They say they will also hold a dance at the Arch Street Teen Center in Greenwich to raise money for the foundation.
