GREENWICH - The name of the giraffe born in Greenwich has been revealed as Sandy Hope.

More than 6,000 name suggestions were sent in to the LEO Conservation Center.

The director of the center says the baby giraffe and her name are significant.

The director says they plan on inviting the victims' families to the center this summer and also plan on bringing their wildlife ambassadors to Sandy Hook Elementary to meet students.
