Greenwich police say a 5-year-old boy nearly drowned in a private pool.

The Greenwich Emergency Medical Service responded to the call and applauds quick thinking by an adult who knew CPR.

Officials say paramedics were at the house on Winthrop Drive within minutes, but before they arrived an adult started the life-saving maneuver.
