Greenwich police hunt for bank robbery suspect

GREENWICH - Stamford police say a man suspected in a bank robbery on Monday may be linked to another hold-up today in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich. Police say the Citibank branch on East Putnam Avenue was targeted at around 4:30 this afternoon. Authorities say surveillance footage links the suspect to the robbery of the Citizens Bank branch in Stamford. Investigators say he fled in a getaway car, similar to his departure in Stamford. Witnesses say it was a calm robbery, and that no customers were in the bank at the time. No injuries were reported.
