GREENWICH - Greenwich police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to lure a young boy into his car.

Police say it took place Friday afternoon when five middle school boys were playing in a yard in Old Greenwich.

They say a man approached the group and said he was supposed to give one of the boys a ride home.

Police say the boy refused to get in the vehicle, and the man drove off.

They say the driver was a white man, in his 50s or 60s, with white hair and he may have been wearing glasses. He was driving a dark-colored SUV or truck, with a cab on the back and with stickers on the back window.

They are asking anyone with information to contact them at 203-622-8003.
