GREENWICH - Greenwich police are investigating after three people reported two men tried to scam them by offering unsolicited roadside repairs.

Police say the men appear to target elderly men and women.

In one case on Wednesday, the men approached a woman in a parking lot and said her bumper was loose.

Police say the men offered to drive her to the ATM to take out money for the repairs but instead they ended up driving her to a Toyota dealership on East Putnam Avenue.

A Toyota salesman says the men fled without getting any money.

Police say another man wasn't so lucky and the scammers were able to get several hundred dollars from him earlier this month. They are warning people to watch out for the men and their blue Jeep Cherokee with Michigan plates.
