GREENWICH - Greenwich police say they are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery that happened around 10 a.m. today at the People's Bank on East Putnam Avenue.

Officials say the thief passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

Police say surveillance video from the bank and a nearby liquor store gave them a look at the suspect. The man is described as Hispanic, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a brown-hooded sweatshirt, brown sweatpants and a black Yankees hat.

They say the robber may have red dye on him from a dye pack that was placed in with the money.

Officials believe the man may have also robbed the People's Bank in Central Greenwich back on Nov. 5.

Anyone with information is asked to call Greenwich police at 203-622-8018.
