GREENWICH - Thirty years after a single mom from Stamford was found strangled and dumped in a field, police are hoping something as simple as a deck of cards will help lead to a break in the unsolved case. Stamford resident Carrie Lee Mock went out with friends one night back in 1981 and never came home. The 36-year-old's body was found strangled and dumped in a field in Greenwich. Investigators say they recently reopened the cold case. In an effort to garner new leads, Greenwich police have put Mock's face on decks of playing cards to be distributed to prison inmates, hoping that the image will jog someone's memory. Mock's family say they hope investigators can help bring closure to the children and grandchildren who have grown up without her.
