GREENWICH - As heavy rains hit the area today, the Town of Greenwich prepared for more flooding, especially in certain areas where residents said it has gotten really bad during past storms.
Residents near a park in the Cos Cob area of town were concerned about today's weather, especially when they remember storms from last year. One told News 12 Connecticut flooding got so bad last year that the park turned into a river.
Crews from the town's highway department were working through the evening, pumping rainwater, clearing remaining snow out of storm drains and trimming loose branches from trees in the event of heavy winds.
