Greenwich schools fight bullying

The district will hold two movie screenings tonight on the topic of bullying. (2/4/14)

GREENWICH - Greenwich school officials took on the topic of bullying Tuesday night at a movie theater.

Two movies were screened at the Bow Tie Cinemas on Railroad Avenue, both on the topic of bullying.

The event was hosted by the town's YWCA, as well as the Junior League of Greenwich, and there is a panel discussion with school superintendent Dr. William McKersie.

Bullying was an important topic in Greenwich last year after Greenwich High School student Bart Palosz committed suicide following the first day of class.

His family says he was bullied.
