GREENWICH - A 17-year-old Greenwich High School student is facing charges for allegedly bringing a knife to school.

Police say it happened Friday when the student was caught carrying a 9-inch hunting knife in his backpack.

Police say he refused to turn the knife over to teachers because he thought he would not get it back.

This happened just one day after a lockdown at the high school due to a report that a student was carrying a gun.
