GREENWICH - A Greenwich woman is donating several Muppets, including the first Kermit the Frog, to the Smithsonian.

Jim Henson's widow Jane is donating the puppets that were used in the 1950s TV show Sam and Friends.

In addition to Kermit, the donations include early versions of Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch.
